Streetscapes: Union Square, Part 2

Union Square, looking to the northeast.

4th Avenue and East 15th Street, looking north.

There’s an interesting “clock” on the corner of 4th and 14th but the trees obscured my vision and the heat was getting to me so I beat a hasty retreat to the nearest subway entrance.

Lunch at Republic this afternoon:

Honey kalamansi
kalamansi (tamarind) puree, honey, Meyer lemon juice

Salmon sashimi salad
salmon sashimi, shallots, mint, lemon grass, cucumber, bird’s eye chiles, red onion

Sauteed beef noodle salad
beef tenderloin, tomato, shallots, chopped peanuts, scallions, rice noodles, sriracha, mint, cucumber
