Summer Snapshots

Here’s some random snapshots from this weekend.

Vegetable and fruit food photography were taken at Union Square Greenmarket, located in Union Square, Manhattan. It’s my farmer’s market, and it’s open four days a week, all year round. Yes, even in the winter.

Most of the meals on the blog contain ingredients obtained or sourced at USGM.


Chanterelle mushrooms

These were chanterelle mushrooms that were fried in unsalted butter, and seasoned with sea salt, black pepper and parsley.

The omelette consists of two beaten eggs, sea salt, black pepper and a tablespoon of heavy cream. These were whisked together, then fried in unsalted butter. The filling consists of sautéed chanterelle mushrooms (from the ramekin in the picture above).
